NOTES: okay, began this by trying to tab the piano for guitar and gave up on that. I'll just provide a basic layout for the chords/lyrics (again, from Kipp's site), and take your opinions on which chords should be 7th, maj7, sus2, etc etc. Mike seems to throw an A-G run into the G and C chords quite often. Here are some ideas: The G in the verses is a G7, sometimes G7sus2. The Bb in the pre-chorus is a Bbmaj7 sometimes. The C in the pre-chorus is a C6 sometimes. The Gm in the chorus is a Gmsus2 sometimes. The walk in the chorus goes: A--0-1-3-- The instrumental, I really don't know.. it begins on a Dm7 pattern leading to an Em, but beyond that I'm not really sure. I think it goes to an Am, then Bb, Am, etc... the bass tab I posted should be accurate, so perhaps that's the best guide to use if anybody wants to give it a shot. --------------------------------------- BEAT A DRUM chords by Chris Lawrence (mustang@islandnet.com) F G the sun reflected in the back of my eye.
